Katsuo Kamata started manufacturing plate type (pressing) shaping blocks at the early stage of soft capsule manufacturing within the country. He made a mold by using rod-like glue (gelatin) utilizing a technique in chasing. |
1970 |
Izumi Kamta takes over Kmata Factory. A rotary die type encapsulating machine made by Liner in England was installed and transferred from plate pressing method to rotary die roll manufacturing. |
1975 |
Production of rotary die type encapsulating machine (A-1) and its accessory facilities and equipment started. |
1983 |
3 lines exported overseas to Switzerland for the first time. |
1986 |
New molding machines (S-1, H-1, B-1) developed and released for sale. |
1990 |
Patent obtained for a clustered die role which had increased productivity. High speed molding machines (WH-1, WB-1) developed and patented. |
1991 |
Contracted production of soft capsules started. |
1996 |
Constructed and transferred the plant producing soft capsules to where now the main office stands. |
2005 |
ISO9001 acquired. Kamata USA, Inc. established. |
2007 |
A new soft capsule molding machine (TB-1) developed, which has 3 times the producing speed than the former machines. |
2008 |
GMP conformity authorization for dietary supplement obtained. |
2011 |
Toke plant, with an integrated system from production to packaging, was constructed in Chiba pref. Seamless capsule encapsulating machine developed. |
2013 |
Contracted production of seamless capsules started. |
2016 |
On the 3rd of October in 2016, we established a new subsidiary company, Kamata Machinery Ltd., dedicated for manufacturing and sales of capsule manufacturing machines. |
2024 |
Transferred all shares of KAMATA Co., Ltd. |
